What you will do

• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in data center sites.
• Train and support the Engineering team in troubleshooting and operations for equipment like UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, and chillers.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures and complete detailed weekly reports.
• Manage large-scale, high-impact projects and new region support from conception to completion.
• Act as the primary escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the data center region.
• Ensure all safety procedures are strictly adhered to by AWS staff and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data center engineering or other critical environments.
• Experience in vendor management and data center operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work onsite in Zaragoza, Spain.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, work at height, and work in noisy environments.

Nice to have

• Electrical or mechanical Journeyman License.
• Operating engineering license (e.g., DC II, DC III or equivalent).
• Experience in construction or project management.
