Automation Electrician (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Perform hands-on electrical and automation maintenance, including fault finding, repairs, wiring, and control-panel assembly.
• Maintain and improve automated machinery, control systems, safety systems, and information systems.
• Support capital works, equipment upgrades, new installations, commissioning, and optimisation activities.
• Coordinate external contractors and collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operations stakeholders.
• Develop and follow technical documentation, procedures, and isolation plans.
• Contribute to safety improvements, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement across the site.

Requirements

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology and a current A-Grade South Australian Electrical Licence are mandatory.
• Solid post-trade experience as an automation-focused electrician in manufacturing, industrial, mining, or heavy-industry environments.
• Strong experience across electrical maintenance, automation systems, fault finding, and project work.
• PLC and automation experience; Siemens exposure is highly regarded.
• Hands-on experience with automated machinery, control systems, and industrial plant.
• Ability to work at heights, including crane maintenance, when required.
