Field Service Representative II (Gas Turbines)

Location: Rowville, Victoria, Australia; onsite five days a week. The role supports customer sites across the East Coast of Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.

What you will do

• Provide technical field support for gas turbines, compressor sets, and generator sets.
• Troubleshoot, commission, inspect, remove, install, repair, and adjust turbo-machinery equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with company policies, manufacturer recommendations, engineering specifications, and industry best practices.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and safety abnormalities and take corrective action.
• Prepare detailed technical reports for management, engineering, operations, and other stakeholders.
• Support customer operations and maintenance crews while working independently or as part of an assigned field service team.

Requirements

• Mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation trade qualification with at least six years of industry experience, or an engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or controls engineering with industry experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of rotating equipment and PLC systems.
• Knowledge of controls, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Strong technical report-writing, communication, customer service, and computer skills, including MS Office.
• Ability to work autonomously and actively participate in a team environment.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with gas turbines, power generation, gas compression, or the oil and gas industry.
• Allen Bradley PLC and dry gas seal experience.
• Previous customer-facing internship or related work experience.
• High integrity, self-confidence, and the ability to communicate professionally in demanding environments.
