Press Operator 2

Location: West Bend, Wisconsin, USA; onsite production role

Compensation: $26.00–$28.79 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour third-shift differential

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain multiple press machines.
• Complete make-ready work, including hanging plates, installing cylinders, preparing blankets, and adjusting tension and register.
• Inspect plates and cylinders, correct color, and adjust the press to meet production quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on press equipment.
• Make minor repairs and replace worn or broken parts as required.
• Perform periodic manufacturer-recommended maintenance.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read job specifications and determine appropriate press settings, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to make precise control settings and operational adjustments.
• Experience with routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
• Knowledge of packing pressure required for different printing jobs.
• Skill using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates correctly.
