Field Service Engineer (Food Sorting)

Location: Bremen, Germany; hybrid working policy, with travel mostly across Germany and occasionally to Austria, Switzerland, and other European countries.

Salary: €47,000 gross annual base salary starting amount, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Install, commission, maintain, upgrade, and retrofit TOMRA sorting machines at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electromechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Train customers in daily machine operation and share operational best practices.
• Document service activities and provide feedback to internal teams.
• Collaborate with service, engineering, and sales colleagues to deliver effective customer support.

Requirements

• Mechanical education with a secondary education diploma or proven practical experience in mechanical field service.
• Mandatory EFK (Elektrofachkraft) and AuS (Arbeiten unter Spannung) qualifications.
• At least five years of experience as a Field Service Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and rotating equipment.
• Fluent English and German are required.
• Valid driver's license, willingness to travel, and ability to work in industrial environments and at customer sites.
