Focus on resolving fab issues, completing equipment start-ups, optimizing uptime, and supporting customers through cleanroom operations and a 12-month international training assignment in Taiwan.
Location: Dresden, Germany. Onsite customer-fab role with up to 20% travel within Europe. The position includes a six-month onboarding and training phase followed by a 12-month international training assignment in Taiwan. Relocation is not offered.
Salary: €52,000–€71,500 per year, plus potential incentive bonus and additional compensation.

What you will do
- Install, start up, maintain, and upgrade semiconductor manufacturing equipment at a customer greenfield fab.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
- Diagnose process, software, and hardware issues using documentation, test equipment, and digital analytics.
- Respond to fab issues, participate in escalation calls, and contribute to projects that improve uptime and reduce costs.
- Coordinate technical support plans with customer management and ensure customer satisfaction within the assigned work area.
- Follow cleanroom, safety, intellectual property, and equipment operating procedures.
Requirements
- Degree, military technical training, trade certification, or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years of experience in field service, maintenance, manufacturing support, installation engineering, or a related technical role.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and resolve technical issues through structured troubleshooting.
- Practical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, or thermodynamics, plus experience with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
- Valid authorization to live and work in Germany, through EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work visa or residence permit, and the legal right to return to and work in Germany after the Taiwan assignment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet customer-site safety, environmental, health, and physical requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with semiconductor equipment or cleanroom environments, preferably 3+ years with front-end equipment.
- Knowledge of PVD, CVD, etch, implant, epitaxy, RTP, metrology, CMP, vacuum systems, automation, robotics, process equipment, or precision manufacturing.
- Previous customer-facing technical field service experience.
