Customer Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Dresden, Germany; onsite customer-fab support with up to 20% travel, higher during the first 12 months

Salary: €60,000–€82,500 per year

What you will do

• Install, start up, maintain, upgrade, and verify semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Diagnose process, software, and hardware issues using documentation, test equipment, and digital analytics.
• Respond to fab issues, participate in escalation calls, and support projects focused on cost reduction and uptime.
• Coordinate support plans with customer management and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Follow safety, intellectual property, cleanroom, and site procedures.

Requirements

• Degree, military technical training, trade certification, or equivalent technical experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics.
• 2–4 years of experience in field service, maintenance, manufacturing support, installation engineering, or a related technical role.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and troubleshoot technical issues systematically.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, or thermodynamics; familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
• Valid authorization to live and work in Germany and the ability to travel within Europe for customer site visits.
• Valid driver's license, strong communication skills, basic Microsoft Office proficiency, and ability to meet customer safety, environmental, health, and physical requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor equipment or cleanroom environments.
• 3+ years of experience with hirify.global semiconductor front-end equipment.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems, automation, robotics, process equipment, or precision manufacturing technologies.
