Electrical Technician

Location: Port Kembla NSW 2505, Australia; on-site at the Port Kembla Manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Maintain electrical equipment on the highly automated Coupled Pickled Cold Mill processing line.
• Develop isolation instructions and job safety analyses while following safe systems of work.
• Assess equipment issues affecting plant performance and perform inspections, condition monitoring, and detailed maintenance planning.
• Carry out safe emergency repairs and fault-find on PLCs, drives, and instrumentation systems.
• Identify improvement opportunities and report inspection findings.
• Support site management of contractors and maintenance service providers to improve safety, tool time, cost, and quality.

Requirements

• Electrical trade qualifications.
• Current NSW Electrical License required.
• Experience with IBA tracing and PLCs.
• Technical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, fault-finding, problem-solving, and equipment repairs.
