Field Service Engineer (Recycling)

Location: Victoria St, Melbourne VIC 3004, Australia; field-based work with regular travel across Australia and occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Install, commission, test, maintain, repair, and optimize sensor-based sorting systems.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, software, and network-related faults.
• Provide technical support and deliver operator and maintenance training to customers.
• Coordinate service activities, upgrades, and project-related work with Project Management, Sales, and Technical Support.
• Prepare service reports, identify improvement and spare-parts opportunities, and complete all work safely.

Requirements

• Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting industrial equipment in field service, maintenance, or technical support.
• Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills with solid mechanical aptitude.
• Clear communication, customer relationship, independent working, and priority-management skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Valid authority to work in Australia required.

Nice to have

• Experience with optical sorting technology or the recycling industry.
• Knowledge of industrial networking, IT systems, and cybersecurity concepts.
• Additional language skills.
