Pediatric Clinical Faculty (Part Time): Honolulu, Hawaii

Location: Onsite in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA; teaching takes place in a clinical setting with a partner organization. The schedule most commonly consists of 12-hour rotations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for three to four consecutive days.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on the credit hours assigned to the course.

What you will do

• Teach pediatric nursing clinical content within the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision while students deliver nursing care to children and families.
• Evaluate student performance against course objectives and provide documented feedback and remediation.
• Prepare clinical assignments aligned with students’ knowledge, competencies, and learning needs.
• Grade assignments, quizzes, tests, lab work, clinical paperwork, and other written work.
• Coordinate with clinical agencies, course coordinators, and academic leadership on policies, student progress, and operational concerns.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Hawaii.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Illinois RN license is required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.
