Delivery Specialist Supervisor

What you will do

• Oversee the safe and efficient execution of more than 20,000 annual shipments across multiple transportation modes.
• Develop carrier networks, manage carrier performance, negotiate rates, and optimize dispatch and load scheduling.
• Coordinate transportation execution with plants, terminals, inventory control, customer service, supply chain, and business units.
• Supervise, coach, train, and develop Delivery Specialists while driving cost reduction and maintaining service levels.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, DOT and 49 CFR regulations, NMFC standards, documentation requirements, and company policies.
• Use data, operational metrics, and KPIs to improve fleet utilization, carrier selection, productivity, issue resolution, and on-time performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical business experience.
• 10+ years of transportation experience; liquid bulk experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT, 49 CFR, and NMFC standards.
• Experience leading, coaching, training, and developing team members across varying skill levels.
• Strong communication, listening, negotiation, analytical, and continuous-improvement skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel for operational tracking and reporting.
