Logistics Specialist II

Location: On-site at 7801 Third Flag Parkway, Suite 200, Austell, Georgia, United States. Full-time schedule with a Front Half or Back Half shift; the listed shift is 5:00 AM–3:00 PM, Wednesday–Saturday. Local travel and overtime may be required.

Salary: $18.92–$27.24 per hour. The listed compensation range is for Illinois.

What you will do

• Monitor inbound and outbound First and Middle Mile transportation movements across the network.
• Track shipments, identify service risks, and manage exceptions such as delays, breakdowns, accidents, weather events, and capacity constraints.
• Coordinate with carriers to obtain updated ETAs, recovery plans, and shipment status updates.
• Execute transportation incident management procedures, escalate issues, and communicate service-impacting events to Operations, Customer Success, and leadership.
• Coordinate recovery efforts for delayed or failed shipments and maintain accurate records in transportation systems.
• Support carrier onboarding, shift handoffs, operational reviews, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, dispatch, brokerage, or operations.
• Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Working knowledge of transportation management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.
• Willingness to work Front Half or Back Half shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Ability to work on-site at 7801 Third Flag Parkway, Suite 200, Austell, Georgia, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting First Mile, Middle Mile, or Linehaul transportation operations.
• Experience working with carriers or freight brokers.
• Knowledge of Hours of Service, transportation terminology, and carrier operations.
• Experience with load tracking systems or transportation visibility tools.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
