Welder (Marine) (Wire and Stick Welding): Repairing and maintaining a fleet of barges and boats in East Carondelet with an accent on wire welding, stick welding, cutting, fitting, and safe operation of heavy equipment. Focus on inspecting and pumping barges, operating forklifts and hydraulic cranes, and maintaining dock areas in a fast-paced environment.
Location: East Carondelet, Illinois, USA; onsite
Salary: $20.16–$30.14 per hour

What you will do
- Perform wire and stick welding.
- Complete cutting and fitting work for barge and boat repairs.
- Operate forklifts and hydraulic cranes.
- Inspect and pump barges.
- Clean up route docks and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read and write English to comply with USCG regulatory requirements.
- Ability to walk and lift for extended periods and regularly carry more than 50 pounds.
- Strong communication, critical-thinking, decision-making, teamwork, and safety skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and uphold high safety standards.
Nice to have
- Certified welding experience.
- Experience repairing and maintaining barges or boats.

- Winter hours: 7:00–15:30.
