What you will do

• Drive design-in activities for MCUs, SoCs, analog, and power products in automotive applications including IVI, ADAS, xEV, and vehicle controls.
• Act as the technical interface for automotive OEM customers throughout application development.
• Derive customer system requirements and market trends to develop system value propositions and optimized designs.
• Define next-generation automotive products and application roadmaps with customers, system architects, application engineers, and product marketers.
• Develop application notes, whitepapers, technical documentation, and hardware-software system demonstrators with internal and external partners.
• Perform system bring-up, testing, debugging, laboratory measurements, and technical seminars for customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related Field Applications Engineer experience with automotive applications and customers.
• Knowledge of semiconductors, including SoCs, MCUs, analog, and power products.
• Experience with Linux, QNX, AUTOSAR, or RTOS, plus multithreaded programming, middleware, IPC, and operating-system concepts.
• Knowledge of automotive functional safety, cybersecurity, power and thermal management, vehicle architectures, and automotive network design.
• Hands-on experience with system bring-up, testing, debugging, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and standard laboratory equipment.
• Fluent Japanese required for customer-facing work; conversational English required for weekly internal reporting.
