Early Career Civil Engineer (Mine Reclamation)

Location: Onsite in Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA; travel to remote project sites is required. A relocation bonus is available for the successful candidate who relocates to Cheyenne.

What you will do

• Support planning, evaluation, design, and construction oversight for abandoned mine land reclamation projects.
• Conduct site assessments, field investigations, and geotechnical evaluations on active and reclaimed mine lands.
• Contribute to mine closure, earthwork grading, highwall stabilization, stormwater management, drainage, and erosion-control designs.
• Perform construction observation and QA/QC activities to verify compliance with specifications, plans, and regulations.
• Collect, analyze, and document field data; prepare technical reports, calculations, drawings, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders while traveling to project sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, mining engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
• 0–5 years of experience in civil, mining, geotechnical, or reclamation engineering, including at least one year in construction management fieldwork.
• E.I.T. or P.E. certification, or the ability to obtain certification or licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
• Experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD 3D and ArcGIS Pro.
• Working knowledge of earthworks, grading, landscape construction, topographic surveying, mapping, and terrain modeling.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams in office and field environments.
