SNIF Field Service Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Aurora, Ohio, USA; remote work with domestic and global travel of up to 80%

What you will do

• Provide remote and onsite technical support for equipment operation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair supervision.
• Respond to customer and vendor inquiries, assess urgency, explain complex issues, and coordinate resolutions.
• Inspect and test materials, machinery, instrument loops, safety systems, and component dimensions for compliance with specifications.
• Investigate customer complaints and determine warranty responsibility, including customer, design, or supplier-related failures.
• Coordinate customer visits and project work, prepare technical reports, and recommend maintenance and corrective actions.
• Train end users on equipment operation and maintenance during installation and commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on mechanical or electrical experience with manufacturing equipment and industrial fuel-fired equipment or engineered systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery, interpret technical plans and drawings, and apply PLC knowledge to automated equipment design, programming, and maintenance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and computer-aided design and drafting applications.
• Ability to travel by land and air up to 80% domestically and globally; a valid driver’s license and US Passport, or the ability to obtain the required documents, are required.
• Ability to work extended hours according to business needs.
