Registered Nurse (RN Designee)

What you will do

• Coordinate nursing and assisted living team members providing direct resident care.
• Determine daily assignments and recommend staffing levels to the SALSA supervisor.
• Conduct resident assessments and ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations.
• Order, administer, document, store, and dispose of medications according to applicable regulations.
• Train client care aides, participate in RN on-call coverage, and coordinate ancillary services.
• Act as a liaison for families, healthcare agencies, emergency response teams, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers.

Requirements

• Current Connecticut Registered Nurse license required.
• At least two years of full-time or equivalent clinical nursing experience.
• At least one year of experience in a home health care agency or community health program involving care of patients at home.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Windows, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and support residents using proper body mechanics.
