TL;DR

Location: Amandelbult Concentrator, Thabazimbi, Limpopo, South Africa; the role is based in Thabazimbi and requires on-site supervision of mining electrical operations.

What you will do
- Supervise artisans performing electrical installations, maintenance, equipment servicing, and corrective actions.
- Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities, shutdowns, labour allocation, and equipment resources.
- Monitor electrical cabling, medium-voltage systems, power distribution facilities, and equipment compliance.
- Lead safety inspections, incident and breakdown investigations, root-cause analysis, risk controls, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Coordinate with engineers and other foremen to resolve overlapping operational issues and maintain process availability.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, mentorship, induction support, and performance guidance to artisans and assistants.
Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
- Qualified Electrician with a Foreman Certificate and five years of post-trade-qualified experience.
- Advanced knowledge of medium-voltage systems, equipment, and switching procedures.
- Experience with electrical installation and maintenance, VSDs, SIMOCODE, drawings and schematics, breakdown coordination, and corrective actions.
- Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, MHSA electrical regulations, operational procedures, safety standards, and compliance audits.
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Outlook; supervisory experience is advantageous.

- Experience in maintenance planning, work scheduling, and maintenance-team coordination.
