Compensation: $87,000–$130,000 per year; most qualified candidates receive $87,000–$97,400.

What you will do

  • Analyze daily student work and assessment data to lead data meetings and create action plans.
  • Monitor grade-level and content-area progress and coordinate assessment cycles, scoring, norming, and quality assurance.
  • Observe teachers, provide real-time feedback, and coach teachers and instructional leaders toward measurable growth.
  • Plan and deliver professional development on curriculum systems, instructional leadership, and pedagogy.
  • Lead school-wide academic systems, including office hours, grade books, lesson internalization feedback, and data-response curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the Principal and school, regional, and network staff on student achievement, curriculum, operations, and school culture initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of teaching experience with evidence of outstanding student growth and achievement.
  • Demonstrated instructional coaching experience contributing to teacher development.
  • Strong teaching skills, content knowledge across multiple grade spans or content areas, and lesson plan development proficiency.
  • Ability to plan and lead effective teacher professional development and manage difficult conversations constructively.
  • Systems-based thinking, strong prioritization skills, flexibility, autonomy, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree and commitment to Uncommon’s instructional leadership principles.
