CNC Machinist - Programmer / Operator

Location: Pasadena, TX, USA; onsite

Salary: USD 27–31 per hour

What you will do

• Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes, mills, drills, and other numerically controlled machinery.
• Machine components from work orders, technical drawings, sketches, layout sheets, and written or verbal instructions.
• Adjust machine parameters, preset and resharpen tools, and work with stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, and other materials.
• Inspect finished work with micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers, and other measuring instruments.
• Perform preventative maintenance, report equipment problems and unsafe conditions, and maintain a clean work area.
• Complete labor and time reports while following safety, quality, and operating procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus technical school education and machinist knowledge or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of CNC machine tool programming and operating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret machine drawings and perform numerical calculations.
• Ability to operate at least two CNC machine tools and previous experience as a manual machinist.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently, solve technical problems, manage multiple priorities, and complete tasks efficiently.
• Good verbal, written, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
