Vice President Commercial (Battery Storage)

What you will do

• Lead battery energy storage system (BESS) commercial activities and manage the commercial team.
• Develop market intelligence on wholesale power markets, BESS competition, regulations, route-to-market options, and revenue streams.
• Define monetisation and route-to-market strategies, including the negotiation and structuring of trading contracts.
• Provide commercial inputs for business models, financial decisions, investment decisions, and M&A transactions.
• Analyse market developments and regulatory changes, quantify their impact on revenues, and present findings to senior management.
• Track BESS project performance throughout the lifecycle and coordinate with energy storage, project delivery, technical, asset management, and O&M teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, science, engineering, energy, sustainability, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy project development or large real estate projects.
• Experience with BESS commercial performance metrics, granular budgeting, and project finance.
• Experience managing teams and multiple BESS projects from inception to ready-to-build (RTB).
• Advanced project management, negotiation, contract administration, and legal skills.
• UK-based with existing right to work in the UK.
