Commercial Lead – Global Energy & Water Projects (Energy Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Lead negotiations for $50m–$100m+ energy and water utility connections.
• Structure and negotiate large-scale energy, renewable, storage, and water agreements, including PPAs and storage offtakes.
• Manage commercial risk and act as the senior escalation point throughout project lifecycles.
• Support investment cases, capital planning, and financial modelling for HV/MV networks, renewables, battery storage, power generation, and water infrastructure.
• Build relationships with energy-sector stakeholders, utilities, equipment manufacturers, developers, consultants, and industry bodies.
• Partner with Customer, Engineering, Development, Finance, and Operations leaders to develop commercially aligned infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience negotiating high-value contracts in energy infrastructure, EPC, construction, in-house development, or consulting.
• Proven experience structuring, negotiating, and executing $50m–$100m+ deals, preferably in high-voltage energy or generation projects.
• Strong understanding of the Australian electricity sector and National Electricity Rules.
• Experience in the Australian energy market is essential; international energy market experience is highly desirable.
• Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, communication, commercial risk, and financial modelling skills.
