Design Project Manager (GMP/Cleanroom Design)

Location: Remote option available for candidates open to Savannah, GA, Tampa, FL, Miami, FL, Orlando, FL, or Tallahassee, FL

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams from concept through construction documentation for complex facility projects.
• Act as the primary design liaison with clients, managing communication, expectations, and satisfaction.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, and external partners to deliver integrated solutions on schedule and within budget.
• Define project scope, develop design budgets, and monitor financial and operational performance.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, GMP, FDA, and EU Annex 1 requirements.
• Identify design risks and implement mitigation strategies while promoting sustainable technologies, CFD modeling, energy-efficient systems, and modular construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in design project management, preferably for pharmaceutical or biotech facilities.
• Strong understanding of GMP, cleanroom design, and regulatory environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Navisworks, and project management platforms.

Nice to have

• PMP or similar project management certification.
• Familiarity with progressive contracting and integrated project delivery models.
