Sr. Project Manager (Medical Devices)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Salary: $153,200–$170,000 annual salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead product development programs, including new products, product line extensions, and sustaining engineering releases.
• Coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver projects against defined objectives, schedules, and funding parameters.
• Balance electrical, mechanical, and software development issues at the system level.
• Develop project work plans, schedules, requirements traceability, and project documentation.
• Lead design reviews, risk management, problem-solving, and mitigation activities.
• Manage technical partners and vendors and facilitate project meetings and management presentations.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing technical product development required.
• Experience developing medical device capital equipment required.
• 10+ years of engineering experience developing products, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Experience working within a phase-gate development process.
• Knowledge of medical-device design controls, risk management, electrical safety, and global standards and regulations.

Nice to have

• Portfolio Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Advanced engineering degree.
