Electrical Engineer (AEC)

Location: San Diego, California, USA; hybrid work schedule

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 per year, based on experience, plus paid overtime and a discretionary end-of-year bonus.

What you will do

• Design electrical power systems, layouts, branch circuits, and lighting systems.
• Coordinate electrical equipment and mechanical systems within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Perform load, voltage drop, short-circuit, and photometric calculations.
• Complete photometric calculations using AGi32 and California Title 24 calculations using EnergyPro.
• Apply the National Electrical Code and electrical construction practices to project designs.
• Manage multiple design tasks with supervision and collaborate with engineering and construction professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• 3+ years of electrical design experience with an engineering firm in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction industry.
• Registration as EIT/FE is required; PE registration is an advantage.
• Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD, electrical layouts, calculations, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with communications design and layout.
• Experience with power system analysis software such as SKM or ETAP.
• PE registration.
