Location: On-site at a wind farm near Coles County, Illinois; must reside within 50 miles of the facility’s O&M building.

What you will do

  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance for the wind farm’s balance-of-plant assets.
  • Act as the principal on-site representative and coordinate with internal teams, OEMs, contractors, landowners, and community stakeholders.
  • Monitor electrical, structural, civil, communications, metering, and SCADA systems, including substations, collection systems, transformers, and junction boxes.
  • Schedule planned and unplanned outages, repairs, infrared scans, subcontractors, spare parts, and site services.
  • Maintain operating logs, performance reports, safety documentation, permits, and regulatory records.
  • Lead site safety, quality, team development, supplier oversight, and compliance activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of wind site management experience; wind operations or utility experience is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience with substation, collection, and transmission equipment operation and maintenance.
  • NFPA 70E accreditation and valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Familiarity with NERC and other regulatory requirements, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to respond to plant operational needs 24/7, work on-site in physically demanding and hazardous conditions, travel 25%, and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
