Facility Technician (Data Centers)

Location: ORD-01, Chicago, United States; onsite facility operations with day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts

What you will do

• Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot critical and non-critical facility equipment through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, plumbing, generators, fire detection and suppression, life-safety, temperature-control, and building management systems.
• Perform electrical operations, maintenance, energy management, and change-control activities in a critical facilities environment.
• Coordinate scheduled and contracted maintenance, supervise third-party contractors, and ensure safe and compliant work execution.
• Process preventive and corrective work orders, order required materials, and document completed work in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Respond to fires, evacuations, equipment failures, and customer concerns while supporting continuous improvement of facility processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma and experience supporting electrical or mechanical critical facilities.
• Ability to work overtime and extended 12-hour shifts.
• Availability for day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to follow MOP, SOP, ERP, and maintenance work instructions and apply required safety procedures.

Nice to have

• Electrical or mechanical certifications.
