Lead Technician (Wind Power)

What you will do

• Perform scheduled maintenance checks, inspections, and lubrication on wind turbine components.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Climb wind turbine towers to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Replace or repair worn or damaged turbine components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and performance records.
• Provide safety guidance and support junior technicians while following all required procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; related technical education or equivalent military or skilled-trade experience is accepted.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to climb turbine towers and perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
• Body weight must be 265 pounds or less to meet OSHA safety requirements.
• Valid driver's license required; selected candidates undergo a DMV check.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice to have

• Wind turbine maintenance or power generation experience.
• Associate's degree in a related field.
• GWO or other relevant certifications.
