Senior Manager, Indigenous Strategic Initiatives (Higher Education): Leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of Griffith University's Indigenous strategic priorities with an accent on strategic planning, project governance, stakeholder engagement, and executive advice. Focus on developing the Indigenous Plan, overseeing major projects such as the GUMURRII South Bank relocation, refreshing the Indigenous Research Unit, and managing risks and partnerships across the university and external communities.
Location: Primarily based at the Logan Campus in Meadowbrook, Queensland, Australia; work from home options are available and work across other university locations may be required.
Salary: AUD 147,057.74 base salary plus 17% superannuation; full package AUD 172,057.55 per year.

What you will do
- Lead the planning, coordination, governance, and delivery of Indigenous strategic initiatives on behalf of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Indigenous).
- Drive development and implementation of the University's Indigenous strategic priorities and oversee delivery of the Indigenous Plan.
- Lead consultation with Indigenous students, staff, communities, researchers, external partners, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee major projects, including the GUMURRII South Bank relocation, transition management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate the refresh of the Indigenous Research Unit in alignment with the Research and Innovation Plan and the Alliance 2050 network.
- Prepare reports, briefing papers, business cases, and recommendations while monitoring risks, opportunities, and project performance.
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience, or extensive experience and management expertise, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of contemporary Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and communities.
- Knowledge of the higher education sector and the ability to communicate and engage effectively and respectfully with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Full unrestricted Australian work rights are required.
- A National criminal history check may be required.
