Verification/Recovery Officer (Sango)

Location: Bode Thomas St, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria; applicants must live in the Sango–Lagos axis and be willing to work in the field most of the time.

What you will do

• Verify hirify.global clients and review credit files for complete documentation and monitoring.
• Locate customers by phone or at their physical locations and follow up on assigned debtor accounts.
• Recover overdue and expired loans through calls, demand notices, negotiations, and other appropriate methods.
• Manage a customer portfolio, monitor loan officers’ recoveries, and prepare daily call memos and progress reports.
• Negotiate refinancing, rescheduling, and restructuring options and prepare settlement approval requests.
• Coordinate with management and external solicitors on settlements, documentation issues, and legal recovery actions.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND.
• Residence in the Sango–Lagos axis and willingness to work in the field most of the time.
• At least one year of experience in microfinance operations involving delinquent clients and problem-solving situations.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
