Production Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead a designated manufacturing value stream to improve schedules, throughput, inventory levels, resource utilization, and daily output.
• Manage and mentor approximately 90 employees, including supervisors, team leaders, and hourly production workers.
• Coordinate production, purchasing, supply chain, quality assurance, planning, and shipping activities to meet customer delivery commitments.
• Investigate cycle losses, shipping discrepancies, operational issues, and mechanical problems, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5P, and continuous improvement initiatives, including research into new processes and equipment.
• Set priorities, support departmental budgeting, manage performance and disciplinary reviews, and execute safety, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3–5 years of experience in low-volume, high-mix, engineered and built-to-order manufacturing.
• Extensive knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5P, or other continuous improvement models, with participation in related projects.
• Experience with customized engineered products and strong problem-solving, coaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime, including possible weekends, as production needs require.
