Technician I, Packaging (Manufacturing)

Location: Delano, CA, USA; onsite packaging facility

Salary: $23.18–$24.21 per hour

What you will do

• Perform uptime and downtime inspections, lubrication, predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance on packaging equipment.
• Operate and support baggers, printers, CSMAs, weighers, and box formers.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Dismantle and reassemble machinery, clear bin jams, and assist with equipment repairs and improvements.
• Prepare minor roller rebuilds, including replacement of bearings, shafts, and sprockets.
• Create work requests and orders, request parts, and document completed work in the CMMS.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Technical degree and at least three years of related production or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic mathematical, reading, analysis, and presentation skills.
• Availability for overtime, weekends, rotating or varying shifts, and emergency call-outs.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 12 hours, work at heights, climb ladders or scaffolding, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to continuously use required PPE, including steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, dust masks, and safety harnesses.
