NAND Quality and Reliability R&D Engineer (NAND Memory)

Location: Hybrid in Rancho Cordova, CA or San Jose, CA, with at least 3 days per week onsite

Salary: $139,520–$255,000 yearly, with eligibility for RSU, RCU, and cash bonus programs

What you will do

• Design, plan, and execute NAND memory cell and array characterization experiments.
• Develop and optimize trims to reduce program and read disturb and improve product quality.
• Optimize performance and power parameters while preserving reliability and endurance.
• Apply NAND device physics to interpret experimental data and trim relationships.
• Analyze data, communicate trade-offs, identify failure mechanisms, and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with Device, Design, Reliability, and Product/Test Engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a closely related field.
• 2+ years of industry experience with semiconductor memory technologies and products.
• Deep understanding of NAND cell and array operations, reliability mechanisms, and characterization techniques.
• Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics, process flows, and statistical analysis.
• Hands-on programming experience in C, C++, Python, and/or JMP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
• Experience with 3D NAND architecture and advanced memory scaling challenges.
• Experience in SSD system-level firmware design and testing.
