Verification/Recovery Officer (Abeokuta) (Fintech)

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria; field work required most of the time

Salary: NGN 60,000–80,000 per month

What you will do

• Verify hirify.global clients and obtain background information on assigned customers and loans.
• Locate customers by phone or at their physical locations and provide field support for loan and debt recovery.
• Follow up on debtor accounts through calls, demand notices, negotiations, and other appropriate recovery methods.
• Monitor loan officers and expired loans to ensure recoveries across assigned markets.
• Prepare call memos, progress reports, recovery strategies, approval requests, and settlement follow-up documentation.
• Coordinate with management and external solicitors on negotiated settlements, documentation issues, and legal recovery actions.

Requirements

• Minimum of an OND qualification.
• Must live in Abeokuta or the Ogun State area and be willing to work in the field most of the time.
• At least one year of experience in microfinance operations, including direct work with delinquent clients and problem-solving situations.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
