Junior Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Abuja, Nigeria; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with IFRS and Nigerian regulations.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgeting, and expense tracking.
• Assist with VAT, WHT, and PAYE tax filings.
• Prepare financial documentation for regulatory and audit requirements.
• Coordinate with the Nigeria Country Head and global finance teams to align local reporting with company standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in financial services, fintech, asset management, or banking.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations.
• Experience with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Abuja, Nigeria.

Nice to have

• ACA certification in progress or completed.
• ACCA certification.
