SME Loan Officer - Abeokuta

Location: Must live in Abeokuta, Nigeria; the role includes fieldwork and knowledge of the local territory.

What you will do

• Assess customer needs, present suitable loan options, and promote hirify.global products and services.
• Acquire customers, build referral networks, cross-sell products, and work toward performance quotas.
• Build long-term customer relationships and maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Manage debt collection activities, including contacting clients, visiting businesses, maintaining records, and recommending payment plans or write-offs.
• Monitor loan accounts, complete credit appraisal processes, review payment terms, and support loan portfolio growth.
• Prepare regular reports on delinquent accounts, collection activity, and accounts receivable status.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in any discipline from an accredited university or polytechnic.
• NYSC discharge certificate or NYSC Exclusion Letter.
• At least 2 years of experience in the microfinance banking sector.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, analytical, writing, and computer skills.
• Practical knowledge of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses and the major local languages.
• Must live in Abeokuta, have good knowledge of the territory, and be willing to perform fieldwork.
