Mill/Mixer Operator

Location: Dunkirk, New York, United States; onsite

Salary: $19–$22 per hour

What you will do

• Run ink batches using proper mill settings and follow mixer standard operating procedures.
• Weigh and mix pigments, manage process steps, and package finished products in various containers with appropriate labels.
• Operate and maintain Hockmeyer mills, press-out units, pump filter equipment, and forklifts.
• Clean and maintain machines according to TPM standards, complete scheduled maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Provide ink samples to quality control, make approved ink adjustments, record production data, and maintain formula and processing-time databases.
• Support canning, repacks, and other manufacturing activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least three months of related work experience.
• Good math, basic computer, and detail-oriented skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, flexibility to work assigned shifts and overtime, and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong autonomous maintenance background and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Post-offer, pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background check required.

Nice to have

• Forklift experience.
• Mixing, mill, or pump filter industry experience.
• Previous experience in the ink industry.
