Facility Manager, Ohio (Wind Energy): Overseeing daily operations, maintenance, safety, compliance, and performance of a utility-scale wind farm with an accent on balance-of-plant assets, substations, collection systems, transmission equipment, and service providers. Focus on coordinating outages and repairs, monitoring SCADA and facility performance, maintaining regulatory compliance, and managing local contractors and community stakeholders.

Location: On-site at a wind farm near Bellevue, Ohio; must reside within 50 miles of the facility’s O&M building.

What you will do

  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of the wind farm and balance-of-plant assets.
  • Supervise the O&M service provider and coordinate external contractors, subcontractors, spare parts, and site services.
  • Monitor electrical, structural, civil, communications, and SCADA systems, including substations, collection systems, transformers, and junction boxes.
  • Schedule planned and unplanned substation outages, repairs, maintenance, and annual infrared scans.
  • Maintain operational logs and prepare safety, environmental, operational, and regulatory reports.
  • Lead the on-site team and represent the company in relationships with landowners, community stakeholders, suppliers, and regulators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of wind site management experience; wind operations or utility experience is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience operating and maintaining substation, collection, and transmission equipment.
  • NFPA 70E accreditation and valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Familiarity with NERC and other regulatory requirements, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to respond to plant operational needs on a 24/7 basis, including travel and physically demanding work.
