What you will do

• Debug SSD firmware issues reported by customers and identified during joint and customer qualification activities.
• Develop debug firmware in C across the SSD firmware stack to accelerate root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with core firmware development and Product Support Engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot SSD performance problems and improve tail latency, IOPS, and throughput.
• Reproduce reported failures through laboratory testing and prepare 8D and failure-analysis reports for customers.
• Write technical white papers covering product use cases when needed.

Requirements

• BS degree in computer engineering or an equivalent field with at least 10 years of relevant technical experience, or MS degree with at least 8 years of experience.
• Proven experience debugging complex SSD issues involving NVMe and PCIe.
• Experience with SSD firmware architecture, validation, testing, development, or debugging.
• Strong C programming skills and experience using PCIe and NVMe protocol analyzers.
• Knowledge of data center and server storage, NVMe-CLI, FIO, Open Compute Platform specifications, telemetry, host logs, and firmware trace logs.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally when required.
