hirify.global is a New Zealand dairy co-operative operating large-scale, highly automated manufacturing sites.

What you will do

  • Develop practical electrical engineering skills through a four-year, fully funded apprenticeship.
  • Perform electrical fault finding, diagnostics, equipment breakdown support, and preventative maintenance.
  • Assist with maintenance planning, shutdown work, electrical installations, and equipment wiring.
  • Support site utilities and infrastructure, including boilers.
  • Work with instrumentation, process control systems, PLCs, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Combine structured learning with hands-on work toward a New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Industrial) and an Electrical Practising Licence.

Requirements

  • Have achieved or be working toward NCEA Level 2 with Maths, English, and Physics, or hold a relevant pre-trade qualification.
  • Demonstrate interest and aptitude in practical, hands-on engineering work.
  • Be motivated to solve problems, learn new skills, and work with people in varied environments.
  • Hold or be working toward a Restricted Driver Licence by the apprenticeship start date.
  • Be a New Zealand Citizen, Australian Citizen, or New Zealand Permanent Resident.
  • Be at least 16 years old.
