hirify.global is a New Zealand dairy co-operative operating a large manufacturing and milk tanker fleet.

What you will do

  • Complete a fully funded four-year apprenticeship in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Diesel).
  • Work on a fleet of more than 480 milk tankers in a large manufacturing workshop.
  • Perform fault finding, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and servicing.
  • Carry out mechanical repairs and component replacement.
  • Use computer diagnostics and modern vehicle technology.
  • Plan work, solve problems, and build practical trade skills under the guidance of experienced tradespeople.

Requirements

  • Achieved or be on track to achieve NCEA Level 2 with Maths and English, or be completing a relevant pre-trade qualification.
  • Interest in practical, hands-on engineering work and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work with different people and in different environments.
  • Hold or be working towards a Restricted Driver Licence before starting the apprenticeship.
  • Be a New Zealand Citizen, Australian Citizen, or New Zealand Permanent Resident.
  • Be at least 16 years old.
