People Operations Manager (HR Operations): Leading employee lifecycle operations, compliance, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition partnerships, and employee relations for a growing People & Culture function with an accent on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and data-driven programs. Focus on optimizing HRIS processes, overseeing RPO performance, managing compensation and benefits cycles, and supporting scalable workforce planning.
Location: East Syracuse, NY, USA
Salary: $110,000–$130,000 annually, plus a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10%.

What you will do
- Oversee employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, internal transitions, and offboarding.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain consistent People & Culture policies.
- Lead compensation benchmarking, annual salary reviews, benefits administration, and relationships with brokers and carriers.
- Manage the RPO partnership, workforce planning, recruiting metrics, service-level agreements, and hiring process improvements.
- Monitor employee relations cases, documentation, policy application, and compliance risks.
- Lead process optimization and provide data-driven reporting to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including people management or formal team leadership.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent credential, or ability to obtain certification within one year.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, HR best practices, and benefits regulations including ACA and ERISA.
- Hands-on experience administering and optimizing HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar.
- Experience using HR data, dashboards, and people analytics to support decisions and improve employee experience.
