Structural Engineer (5 - 10 Years)

Location: Woodland Hills, California, USA; hybrid work schedule

Salary: $95,000–$120,000+ base salary per year, based on experience; paid overtime and discretionary bonus may apply.

What you will do

• Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing for commercial and institutional building projects.
• Design structures using steel, concrete, and timber.
• Coordinate structural drawings with architects, owners, contractors, engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Participate in design meetings and maintain effective communication across project teams.
• Interface with contractors during construction to resolve issues and support successful project delivery.
• Work with the Discipline Manager on department, project, and growth objectives.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer registration in California is required.
• 5–10 years of experience designing concrete, steel, and timber structures.
• Experience with California building codes is required.
• Ability to work independently with appropriate engineering oversight and collaborate on larger project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• California Structural Engineer registration.
• M.S. degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Multidiscipline project management experience.
• Experience with DSA and OSHPD.
• Experience with 3D modeling software such as ETABS, RISA, or SAFE.
