Deputy Program Manager/Chief Infrastructure Engineer (Enterprise Infrastructure)

Location: Adelphi, Maryland, USA; non-remote and on-site only. Relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $135,000–$175,000 per year.

What you will do

• Advise program management and Government leadership on enterprise infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, and modernization.
• Provide technical leadership across Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, Nutanix, virtualization, storage, networking, identity services, and hybrid cloud.
• Lead architecture reviews, engineering assessments, modernization efforts, capacity planning, lifecycle management, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
• Direct complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across servers, networks, storage, virtualization, and infrastructure services.
• Drive automation, configuration management, monitoring, performance optimization, and operational efficiency.
• Mentor infrastructure and technical support personnel while supporting resource planning, risk management, change management, and program execution.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to work on-site in Adelphi, Maryland, USA.
• Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• IAT Level II certification or higher under DoD 8570/8140 requirements, such as Security+, SecurityX, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 12 years of progressive experience supporting, engineering, administering, and leading enterprise IT infrastructure environments.
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, identity management, virtualization, Nutanix or equivalent platforms, storage, networking, endpoint management, monitoring, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

Nice to have

• Senior technical leadership experience as an Infrastructure Architect, Chief Infrastructure Engineer, Technical Director, Chief Systems Engineer, or similar.
• Experience leading infrastructure teams in DoD, Federal, research, classified, laboratory, or enterprise environments.
• Advanced certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CCSP, Nutanix, Microsoft, Azure, AWS, CCNP, or ITIL.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
