5-12 Teacher - Middle, High School Teacher

Location: Boston, MA, USA

Salary: $71,000–$116,000 per year for the 2026–2027 school year. Starting pay depends on teaching experience, education certifications, and tenure.

What you will do

• Implement curriculum and activities in line with high academic standards.
• Analyze assessment data to measure student progress and differentiate instruction.
• Respond strategically to student learning needs and maintain focus on academic growth.
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment aligned with school values, expectations, and conduct standards.
• Communicate with students, families, colleagues, and school leaders.
• Participate in staff orientation, instructional training, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree completed before employment begins.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Mastery of and enthusiasm for the relevant academic subject.
• Commitment to working with K-12 students, urban youth, and the school’s educational philosophy.
• Massachusetts charter teachers must hold an appropriate MA educator’s license or pass the required MTEL examinations, including Communications and Literacy, Subject Specific, and SEI requirements.
• Experienced teachers should have a proven classroom achievement record; at least two years of urban public or charter school teaching experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Background in education or prior experience working in schools or urban communities.
• Valid state certification and a master’s degree.
