Chemical Treat Operator - 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Aurora, Ohio, USA. 2nd shift runs Monday–Thursday, 3:00 pm–1:00 am.

What you will do

• Read production schedules, work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and material specifications.
• Prepare, move, and inspect raw materials using vertical and horizontal band saws, hoists, hand tools, and measuring equipment.
• Set up and operate chemical treatment vessels and ovens, including loading and unloading materials.
• Monitor gauges, signals, temperature, pressure, vacuum, and chemical reactions; adjust valves and controls as required.
• Perform chemical tests, NOX sampling, first-run inspections, labeling, and maintenance documentation.
• Support preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions with engineers and maintenance personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, schematics, and machining procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and ability to use dimensional measuring tools.
• Ability to operate computers, oven software, barcode scanners, and learn an ERP system.
• Effective English communication in person, by telephone, and in writing is required.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, walk, use hands precisely, and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.

Nice to have

• Experience using saws or working in a manufacturing environment.
• Industrial equipment certifications such as forklift or tow motor certification.
