Mill Operator 2nd Shift

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, USA; onsite, Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm–11:00 pm

What you will do

• Run ink batches using proper mill settings and operate Hockmeyer mills.
• Package finished products in various containers, apply labels, and assist with repacks.
• Clean and maintain machines according to TPM standards and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Operate press-out units, pump filter equipment, and forklifts.
• Act as a quality-control liaison by providing ink samples, making adjustments, and recording data.
• Create and maintain a database of formulas and processing times while troubleshooting production issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 3 months of related work experience.
• Good mathematics and basic computer skills, attention to detail, reliability, and good attendance.
• Ability to work the assigned second shift and overtime as required.
• Strong Autonomous Maintenance background and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Forklift experience; training is available.
• Background in mixing, mill, or pump-filter operations.
• Previous experience in the ink industry.
