Chemical Operations Technician (Energetic Materials)

Location: Hollister, California, United States; onsite. The schedule is dayshift, 10 hours per day, 4 days per week, with overtime availability. US citizenship or qualifying US-person status is required because of U.S. Government contractual and export-control requirements.

Salary: $19.33–$35.82 per hour, plus eligibility for a quarterly performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Safely handle, process, weigh, and document inert and classified explosive materials, powders, propellants, and solvents.
• Assemble, operate, and break down industrial milling equipment; dry milled materials and load or unload milled powder.
• Deliver materials to production lines and maintain accurate movement, inventory, traceability, and process documentation.
• Clean facilities, equipment, vehicles, tooling, and containers, including processing explosive and solvent waste.
• Complete standard-work checklists, 5S activities, FOD control, travelers, and process paperwork.
• Participate in process hazard analyses, daily management meetings, process-document updates, and cross-training in related manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read written instructions, perform arithmetic calculations, prioritize multiple formulations, and complete documentation accurately.
• Ability to lift 30 lb and stand, stoop, and walk intermittently while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Willingness to wear a full-face respirator and pass a respirator fit test; beards are not permitted for respirator use.
• Ability to receive forklift training certification and follow strict safety and standard operating procedures.
• Must meet US-person or applicable US export-authorization requirements for continued employment.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous ordnance or energetic-materials experience.
