Credit Officer - LASU Ojo (Fintech)

Location: Lasu Ojo Rd, Ikotun, Lagos, Nigeria; onsite fieldwork required

What you will do

• Manage debt collection processes and develop payment plans with analysts in line with collections policy.
• Maintain accurate client records, manage past-due accounts, and determine appropriate collection actions.
• Contact customers by phone and email and visit their places of business to collect delinquent accounts.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on delinquent accounts, collection activity, and receivables.
• Acquire customers by presenting and selling financial products through negotiation across relevant SME sectors.
• Support loan evaluations, credit appraisals, account monitoring, contract reviews, and payment-option communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in any discipline from an accredited university or polytechnic.
• NYSC discharge certificate or NYSC Exclusion Letter.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, analytical, writing, and computer skills.
• Practical knowledge of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses.
• Knowledge of major local languages and the LASU Ojo territory.
• Motivation to work and grow in a performance-based environment, with a willingness to conduct fieldwork.

• Knowledge of the microfinance bank sector.
