RF Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Centennial, Colorado, USA. US citizenship is required.

Salary: USD 90,000–120,000 per year, depending on qualifications.

What you will do

• Design front-end RF signal-chain circuits and assemblies for space vehicle communication and signal analysis systems.
• Develop stable, low-phase-noise oscillators and distribution networks using RF components and transmission-line structures.
• Perform circuit design, analysis, laboratory measurements, verification, and worst-case RF analysis.
• Support PCB layout engineers in meeting RF performance requirements and troubleshoot hardware identified during testing.
• Prepare engineering documentation, technical reports, and summary presentations for product and project leadership.
• Collaborate with the RF Engineering Group to improve hardware development processes.

Requirements

• BSEE or an equivalent university degree.
• Knowledge of linear RF circuit theory, planar transmission lines, wave propagation, mixers, oscillators, clock circuits, and signal characterization.
• Experience with schematic capture and RF design and analysis using commercial EDA tools.
• Experience with 3D electromagnetic field modeling and CAD tools.
• Experience performing RF verification measurements with multi-GHz VNAs, spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers or sources, and phase-noise analyzers.
• US citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Siemens Xpedition, Cadence, AWR Microwave Office, Keysight ADS, or Ansys HFSS.
• Understanding of sampling and signal processing in digital RF systems.
