Supplier Quality Engineer, Low Voltage and ADAS

Location: Garden Grove, California, United States; onsite. Domestic and international travel of up to 30–50% is required.

Salary: $100,000–$160,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Manage supplier quality for low-voltage components, wiring harnesses, cameras, radars, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Conduct process, product, and system audits to qualify and assess suppliers.
• Establish and validate supplier processes, including assembly lines, PCBA manufacturing, gauge approvals, FAI, and PPAP.
• Develop supplier performance metrics and lead corrective and preventive action plans for nonconformities.
• Review control plans, FMEAs, deviations, inspection reports, and compliance with applicable specifications and standards.
• Lead supplier quality calls, MRB meetings, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality input for design reviews and engineering change control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• 3–7 years of manufacturing quality or supplier quality engineering experience in automotive, aerospace, or an equivalent manufacturing environment.
• Experience with low-voltage wiring harnesses, PCBA manufacturing, cameras, radars, and electromechanical box-build assemblies.
• Working knowledge of IPC-600, IPC-610, IPC-620, and USCAR standards.
• Understanding of QMS, supplier and internal audits, APQP, SPC, PPAP, FMEA, and MSA.
• Ability to work onsite in Garden Grove, California, and travel domestically and internationally up to 30–50%.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2018 or IATF 16949.
• Experience managing multiple quality engineering projects.
